Lift assist lets you easily lift and lower the tailgate on your open utility trailer. Spring-loaded kit attaches to the tailgate to compensate for 90% of its weight. Add another unit on the opposite side if your tailgate weighs more than 180 lbs.

The EZ Gate reduces the physical strain of lifting the heavy tailgate on your utility trailer. It compensates for 90% of the weight of the gate to take most of the load off of your hands. It makes lifting your tailgate so easy that you may be able to do it with just 1 finger. The lift assist will work on tailgates that weigh up to 180 lbs. If you have a heavier tailgate, you can purchase 2 kits and install one on each side.
Simple Installation
The unit mounts on your side rail and has an internal spring, which is the part responsible for taking on the weight of your tailgate.
This spring assembly is held in place on one end by an eyebolt that bolts through the side rail of your trailer. Connected to the spring on the opposite side is a cable and pulley, which bolts to your tailgate.
The housing, which consists of 2 steel tubes that slide together, covers the spring to protect it from the elements. There are three clamps that attach the housing to your trailer's side rail. Each clamp installs with a single hole drilled into your trailer, and they'll fit your rails whether they're round or square.

One hand operation. A friend has the same trailer with 2 gorilla lifts they do the same job as one easy lift. The hardware kit is first rate. Wish I had come up with this setup Easy install, the hard part was opening my water bottle

Well pleased, all hardware was included and a breeze to install on my 7x16 tandem 24inch high side trailer. Very little effort needed now to lift now. Before that hope you had your kids early LOL cause??, it required alot of effort to lift. Thanks again etrailer.

This is the second lift assist I have ordered in a week the first one worked so good I ordered a second one for another trailer I have got it installed In about an hour and love it if you got a heavy tailgate I highly recommend this product. I have looked at all others they seem to have problems with plastic pieces being cut by the cable or big bulky springs hooked on both sides of tailgate this is by far the best out there !!!

I had installed an EZ Gate last year. It helps a lot but it was still a little on the heavy side for my Wife. So I order another one on 1/9/21 got it on 1/13. which was fast service. Install it onto the trailer which is very easy with their instructions, now it goes down and up with just one hand.

I ordered the lift assist on Wednesday it was it was at my door on Friday I was very impressed how fast the company shipped it. It took me maybe 1 hour to install and it works exactly as advertised no problems. I have read reviews where people weren't getting all the bolts or having to go to hardware store to get longer bolts not the case with me everything was there and went together like clock work I probably have one of the heaviest tailgates on a landscape trailer there is it made where I can open and close with one hand probably will be buying another for another trailer I have!!!! Thanks

These ex lifts are awesome, assuming you get all your parts in the box. Delivery drivers these days treat packages like they are inside Samsonite luggage. It's incredible they care so little about the boxed contents.

After installation I could lift my gate with one hand. I had a hard time doing it by myself to many times in a day. Almost needed 2 people to lift it before the installation. Very impressed!

This will fit a rear door 37-1/2" to 67-5/8" wide. The EZ Gate Tailgate Lift Assist # 3375201000 is designed for a utility trailer with a rail to mount the assist 12" to 18" above the decking. Since you will not have this type of rail on your 6'x12' enclosed trailer you will not be able to mount it with your rear door.

This is a great product. It gets better the older I get. Makes it so much easier for a senior to operate the heavy gate on my 10x5 trailer.
